Maryland Sex Offender Registry
Overview
Access to sex offender information in Maryland is provided to the public as the result of the Jacob Wetterling
Registration Act, which was passed by the United States Congress and Megan's Law,
which requires states to release relevant information about registered offenders
to protect the public. Information about access to MD sex offender information can be found in the chart below.

Written Request and Other Types of Access
Requests can be mailed along with a fee of $15.50 and a printed copy of the entire registry will be mailed. Note that the same information can be downloaded and printed free of charge from the state registry site.
Obtaining a Printed Copy of the Registry
To obtain a copy of a registration statement concerning a specific registrant, requests can be mailed, emailed or faxed. The registration statement will be returned by mail and will include the registrant's name, address, registrant category, crime description, a photo and more.
