General Information The Eureka Police Department publishes information on its web site about the history of Megan's Law and sex offender registration in California, sex offender classifications (high risk, serious, other), conviction criteria and how to access information about registered sex offenders living within the city limits of Eureka.

Online Maps The Eureka Police Department publishes a map showing the general location of the residences of registered sex offenders living within the Eureka city limits. The map is updated monthly and shows high risk and serious risk sex offenders and notes the locations of schools, parks, airports and hospitals.

The Sex Offender Identification Line telephone service allows California residents
to inquire about specific individuals. There is a $10 charge per call with a limit
of two inquiries per call.

Mail Access
Organizations, businesses and individuals wishing to check on six or more persons,
such as volunteers or employees, may submit a mail-in request form. There is a
charge of $4 per name to be checked.
