Contra Costa County, California Sex Offender Registry
Overview California has three means for the public to become informed of the identity of registered sexual offenders - community notification, the Sex Offender Identification Line (a telephone hotline) and the Megan's Law Database of serious and high risk offenders. In addition, Contra Costa County maintains online sexual offender pin maps which show the approximate locations of sexual offenders.

General information
Online Maps Sexual offender maps for unincorporated parts of Contra Costa County. There are maps for West County (Crocket, East Richmond Heights, Rollingwood, El Sobranted, Montalvin Manor, North Richmond and Rodeo), East County (Bethel Island, Unincorporated Antioch, Discovery Bay, Knightsen, Unincorporated Brentwood and Byron), Central County (Bay Point, Pacheo, Unincorporated Martinez, Unincorporated Concord and Unincorporated Clyde) and
South / Central County (Alamo, Roundhill, Unincorporated Walnut Creek, Diablo, Blackhawk and Orinda).
Sexual Offender Maps
In-Person Access California residents can search the computer-based Megan's Law Database for serious and high risk sex offenders either by name or by area using a zip code. The following information is provided: name, physical description, date of birth, zip code of residence, offenses requiring registration, identifying marks/scars/tattoos, aliases and a color photo. Telephone Access
The Sex Offender Identification Line telephone service allows California residents
to inquire about specific individuals. There is a $10 charge per call with a limit
of two inquiries per call.
Sex Offender Identification Hotline
Mail Access
Organizations, businesses and individuals wishing to check on six or more persons,
such as volunteers or employees, may submit a mail-in request form. There is a
charge of $4 per name to be checked.
