Provides information on sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and
human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) to the general public.
Specialists are trained to convey accurate, basic information and referrals to free or low cost clinics nationwide. Free educational literature about a wide variety of sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV) and prevention methods are also available.
In addition to offering clinic referrals and written materials, Health Communication Specialists answer questions about transmission, prevention, and treatment for diseases such as gonorrhea, chlamydia, HPV/genital warts, herpes, HIV and others
