I am the founder and manager of SexCriminals.com. I founded the website in 1998 after learning that my home state of Virginia was launching an online sex offender registry and discovering how difficult it was to locate the various local and state registries online. At the time, there was no accurate, comprehensive online guide to the numerous sex offender registries. I'm not in a related field, I'm not a sex crime victim and I wasn't motivated to create the website because someone close to me was a victim. I simply created the website because it seemed like the right thing to do.
