User Name Description
I was given the handle 'Journeyman' way back in the late 80's when I was into CB Radios. It was deemed a fitting name for me as many people feel I am(was) wise beyond my years, having been on 'life's journey'. As I am, now, a journeyman carpenter AND electrician (as well as a very capable mason, plumber and several other trades) I keep the old nickname in it's new form.

User Bio
A few short details: I was a physically abused child, mostly by my mother. I was in the care of the child protection services of Virginia from about 1978-85 and in several foster homes (8, if memory serves), some of which were quite restrictive and, one may say now, mentally abusive. I currently teach a 'life skills' class twice a week (tuesdays and saturdays) to both children 13-17 and young adults 18-23. I feel that no child should live in misery (no, not the state, Missouri) or in need of life's basic requirements: love and laughter.
