Why show someone behind bars? How about a picture of someone in his front yard in a neighborhood near you?

The picture isn't meant to serve as a warning about what potential sex offenders look like, but I'd be open to a collage of images representative of the wide range of occupations and looks of a potential sex offender.

good idea, really............
to mr truth, truth here is that steve's site is called:

sexcriminals.

so, should the pic of someone behind bars not be appropiate??
if so, why not?
sc should be in prison, and when they are caught, that is where they go, behind bars, so that pic is about as true to the domain here as anything.

curious re you, your pro is blank here, are you a rso?

and another question here for you, re site pic, why a pic of someone in their front yard? that would be pretty sad, and sick, what would it be of? a so molesting a child in the yard? sorry if I sound rude, but that is the pic you said would be good here, and as stated in previous post, the site is called:
sexcriminals, so why not have a pic that has something to do w/ sex criminals? and a person behind bars is a great one.

this is not a site or a forum for specifically rso, or rights for them, the site is what it says.

Our site's purpose is to provide information and resources for all types of people to become more educated about sex crimes, sex offenders and related topics.

but I'd be open to a collage of images representative of the wide range of occupations and looks of a potential sex offender.

Steve, I think this is an excellent idea that will directly assist your initial site mission statement. To educate.

For people visiting this site who are active victims seeking help, seeing a person in jail may cause them to lose resolve to get help, especially if they envision a parent in jail if they "tell." Jail is a very scary thing, mostly to people who have never been there or those who have lived soft lives. For a child-victim to come to this site, and see Mom in jail would be frightening and might lead to continued and escalating abuse.

A collage of people in their various occupations and life events would show victims that they are not alone, that sex offenders and victims come from all walks of life, and that this is a welcome place to talk about the abuse, and maybe eventually seek help.

Nowhere in the site mission statement did I see where this is a place for people to harass and insult sex offenders, victims or others. And of course I realize I am quite guilty of insulting people. Outside of Vic, everyone else fired the first round.

We cannot forget the photo of the stunning PO, peeking through one of her "client's" windows for 15 minutes before going to his door for an address verification!! ; ))

What dialect of English do you use? I never said a thing about a coach or high school teacher or policeman or lawyer or divorced mother molesting a child in the front yard. Is that your mental picture? If so, then that reinforces my point: a picture of someone behind bars is atypical of sex offenders as many to most never spend a day behind bars. And even for the ones who do, how many get life without parole?

this is not a site or a forum for specifically rso, or rights for them

And your point is?
