There's no disputing that orolan is very good at conducting research and providing information and constructive responses when he choses to. What I am giving serious thought is the following scenario. A victim or victim's relative posts to the Victims and Survivors Corner forum, and a pedophile such as Silverthorne (who is also a sex crime victim) or a convicted sex offender such as Orolan posts a constructive response, but the original poster later finds out the person who responded is a pedophile or offender and is offended or traumatized (though traumatized isn't really the word I'm looking for) because they had no idea that someone like that would be allowed to post there.

So the first thing I am planning on doing is making it clear such people can and do post there, subject to forum guidelines. That will allow such people to make a decision about whether to post or not. Obviously, some will chose not to, but I'd rather them chose not to than post and be offended or traumatized. What I have considered in the past and am still considering, is implementing a mechanism that allows people to post there, but allows them to restrict access to reply or makes posts by certain users or types of users invisible to them if they chose. This thread is getting very long so if any want to discuss these types of ideas in a constructive way, let me know and I will create a new thread with more details.
