I agree that sex crimes committed by law enforcement (and others in a position of trust) are a terrible thing and there should be awareness of such crimes. I never really thought about perception in LE that SexCriminals.com is some sort of anti-LE site simply b/c one of its users posts a lot of legitimate articles on the subject, but that's something I'll chew on...maybe.

I don't want to debate this matter here so if anyone has anything more they want to share with me on it, contact me privately and I'll keep an open mind to your views. Let's not see any kind of article posting war. And let me remind everyone, including Valerie since you may not be aware of it given your absence and you recently posted what appeared to be a full article with no URL included, but when I'm closely monitoring posts I will block posts that 1. either quote entire copyrighted articles, large chunks of them or appear to do so and/or 2. do not post the URL (web address) of said quoted article. This is due to legal reasons which are very real since I've gotten cease and desist letters, legal threats, phone calls, etc. and paying an attorney $200+ an hour to advise and help with such situations on a site that already is paid for out of my pocket is not something that makes me happy. It's been since the spring if memory serves me since that's happened, but that's because of major changes to the News Archive and stricter posting requirements.

From the forum guidelines:

Guideline 9

Do not post articles and other copyrighted material. You may cite a source and post its URL or instructions on how to find it, but limit any quoting of article text.

See an abbreviation or acronym, but don't know what it stands for? Consult the Glossary.
