All of your posts really got me thinking. My husband had 2 jobs within a month of being released from jail. Unfortunately he lost his previous job while in jail, but at least he was able to get on his feet quickly. His PO has been to our house one time and never calls. He reports, gets drug tested, pays his fines and works, so I guess that is why she is leaving him alone. We don't have the predator statutes in my state, just the registry. He was a first-time offender with a contact offense, so I don't think he'd be subject to community notification if the law here does change. We haven't had any "concerned neighbors" come to our door either, although I assure you that they would be quite sorry if they did. So I guess my point is that it could be worse, and I wasn't really thinking that way until I saw all of these posts referring to problems that I luckily don't have. Thanks.
