I have been trying out the whole up front honesty thing.
People stumble, stammer and react in shock when a man looks them in the eye or says frankly over the phone:
"Before you consider hiring me, I must tell you I am a felon, on probation, and I am a sex offender. It is not my badge of honor, in fact I am downright ashamed of it, but if you give me the chance, i will be the mst loyal employee you ever had."
Not getting the jobs, lol, but it sure feels better than hiding under a rock of shame hoping no one finds out.
