From what I can gather from my hero Bill O'Reilly (lol) Oregon and Wyoming are "notoriously lenient" on RSO's. I looked up Oregon's Megan's Law, and it looks like they are only putting "violent predators" on the website. Everybody else you would have to know their name and call in to find out if they are on the registry. To me it sounds like paradise!

I wonder if this will last--does anybody have any info about these states?

In Oregon the current statute states that a first-time offender can apply to be removed from the registry after they have been released from probation for at least ten years.

Does anybody know how this works if you moved to Oregon from a state that has a 25-year registry? Would Oregon just hold you to the 25 years?

See an abbreviation or acronym, but don't know what it stands for? Consult the Glossary.
