Was wanting some feed back on other offenders adopting offenders that are homeless. In other words giving them a place to stay at night and allowing them to use your address to register. This is also for those offenders that want to relocate to different states for a few months before moving else where. Pro's and Con's please.

Adopting a sex offender sounds like a nice gesture. However, think of the issues in regards to public notification. Geez, would that stir up the neighborhood knowing 2 sex offenders at the same residence lived in the community. If the offenders in question were not subject to public notification then there'd be less of a risk. See what I mean? What if 2 RSOs lived in Valerie's neighborhood at the same address? That's enough to cause her to stroke out. (Sorry Val I couldn't resist) lol

What would you do if you decided to adopt a sex offender and he decided to adopt your kids or your wife? Hmmmm....maybe just single RSOs should consider this idea, ya think?

I would have no problem helping out another offender, provided it didn't violate any supervision rules.
But such a practice can cause problems. Anti-clustering hasn't been big in the news lately. But as proximity laws expand it will become an issue. There are already laws in Arizona prohibiting two or more offender from living at the same address.

yes i was refering to single offenders not families,
As far as neighbors go or anyone else thats their problem I could care less about how they feel or what they think. RSO need to get over what everyone else thinks and move on with their lives.
Orlan im not sure whether thats legal or not any law saying 2 offenders can't live togther. That may be the case if they are still in the system
