Anything so symbolic as burning the flag shows passion for the nation.
I want to live in a country where it is legal to burn the flag and no one would ever want to burn it.
The ultimate act of how one feels about the nation using the flag is similar to what I did.
I was taking down my shadowbox, which included a flag. I held the flag in my hand, and without the least bit of though simply tossed it into the trash, with the coffee grounds, food waste and other trash.
No ceremony, no drama, simply tossed away and not even considered for all the good it stands for because of the bad...........
Kind of like me........... Have done much more good in my life than bad and probably will continue that trend, but essentially been disregarded and tossed away because of something I did bad, I admitted was bad, continue to get help to make sure that bad never happens again, but all the good, means nothing.
Dont burn the flag, just disregard it, if you have one, non chalantly toss it away with the rest of the trash.
Maybe one day you will fly it proudly again, but my guess it will have a big red star in the middle of it.
