A friend down in Florida passed on a letter and form he received from this guy seeking membership in his "organization". Any Florida RSOs here received one of these?
Jones says he will file a "class action" to get first-time offenders removed from the registry. BUT, he claims that if you AREN'T a member of his organization you will not be able to participate in the action. If you know anythiing at all about a lawsuit being granted class-action status by the court, you know that this is not true. Anybody who is a first-time offender will be allowed to participate regardless of membership in any organization.
Jones also makes the same claim about the proximity laws. Same class-action rules apply.
Jones also says he is "petitioning" the states to have names removed from the registry. If you don't pay him, your name doesn't go on the list. And if your name isn't on his list, it will stay on the state's list.
Can you BELIEVE this crap? Jones wants you to pay HIM $60 for the privilege of being on his lists, lists that are meaningless.
Keep in mind that Jones just got out of prison in June after serving time for FTR and having a fake ID to circumvent registration.
He tried to get around registration the illegal way first, that didn't work, and now he says he's going to do it the "legal" way.
All he's going to do is take your money. He dreamed this con up while doing his time, a way to make a living without having to earn it.

Airmessage is a text-messaging pager. No doubt Jones learned of it in prison, as it is in common use by drug dealers due to the inability to tap or trace the messages.
His website isn't operational yet, but the domain is real and registered to him.

We're on it. No doubt we will issue a press release denouncing his tactics. While we agree with his published goals we doubt his sincerity. Jones is out to make a buck, and that's it. If FDLE doesn't get him, the IRS will.

As a Negro I would have thought Jones would have been better off working to get minorities registered to vote so he could then mount a Constitutional amendment drive granting non-incarcerated felons the right to vote without all the forms and waiting currently required and then working to get those felons registered to vote. At that point he would have hundreds of thousands of supporters at the polls, a political clout that no politician can ignore. THEN he could get some sensible legislation passed re registration and proximity laws.
Of course, he couldn't make any MONEY doing that.

I've noticed Demetrius is back in full swing with a valid Business License from Orange County for only $75. What a small price to pay for a valuable scam. His flyer is still basically the same with a fee of one easy payment of $60, and he provides a copy of his license as well. Unbelievable. I wonder how many RSOs fall for this.

I personally feel Mr. Jones is running a scam...but in all fairness, has anyone in this forum contacted him? I know all about false allegations...one thing I've learned is to not point fingers without the proof to back it up. I suggest that Mr. Jones be given the opportunity to prove his "good intentions".

I think that we should look at why Mr. Jones is a registering sex offender. The fact is that Mr. Jones was running an escort service with underage girls. Now we all know that won’t put you on the registry but when you sample the goods you loose. Fact is that this guy is a con artist and has been for over 20 years. That is the period of time that I have been dealing with him. He was put back in prison on an FTR case that my unit worked. You would not believe the items that were recovered in his unreported apartment. Also, as far as the “SON” network, it is being worked by our agency along with several others. I can assure you that this is a scam to get your money; Mr. Jones hasn’t worked a hard day in his life.
