About three months ago I had a man follow my wife, daughter and I while we were playing at the town park. We didn’t think much about it at the time. After driving home, the man’s car was sitting across the street at are local grade school. His car was pointed directly at our house. We thought that was strange so we stayed in the car and drove around the block before we got home. It was almost like we already knew where we lived! So, I decided to drive around and come up behide the car and get his license plate number. He immediately drove off, but we got his number. He then drove by our house several times that night..

Hard to describe the whole situation here, but it was very strange. You had to be there..

We then took the license plate number to the town police and they said they would run the plates, but couldn’t tell us who it was. We called them the next day and they said, “We are increasing patrols in our area”

We never seen the guy again until today.. Three months later.. I was getting ready pick my daughter up from school.. The school is like 200feet from my house.. So, I looked out the window and see all the children playing on the playground like every other day.. Well there was a man standing across the street, just standing looking at all the children playing. I thought… “well be must be waiting on his kid or something”.. Then the man turned towards my house and walks up in my yard looking directly at my house.. I thought he was coming to the door or something, but he then seen me in the window looking directly at him, so he then walked away down the street? Must not be picking up a kid?

I thought that was a little odd, but carried about my day…

I went to my dads before my wife got home. He is gone on vacation so I’m taking care of his place for a while. When My wife got home from work she called my in a panic.. The guy is there again! She was afraid to get out of the her car.. So she drove to her mom’s house. When I got home, the guy was gone, but when I got out of my car he drove by again.

Yeap.. its that guy again.. He has short hair now… Wait!!! That was the guy standing in my yard!

So tonight, we did a lookup in the sex offender’s database and one of the guys is HIM!!!!

Someone please help! What do we do?

Hello help911 and welcome to the forum. There's really 3 things that need to be done immediately. First, contact your local police department and tell them what you just told us and whatever additional details you may have left out. Now keep in mind he may not have actually violated a law, but at least the police will be aware of his behavior and step up home verifications and do some surveillance. Secondly, find out if he is on probation or parole and contact his parole officer immediately. If he didn't actually break a law, it's possible he violated the technical terms of his supervision. His PO can also instruct him not to hang out near schools if he hasn't been told that already. His PO should also contact his sex offender therapist if he has one and alert them of his reoffending behavior. Last thing is I'd contact the school administration and advise them of the potential danger to the children. If they have a school resource deputy who takes his job seriously he'll take care of business.

In the meantime you may want to take pictures and take notes every time you see him so if you are ever called upon to testify or give a sworn statement you'll be prepared. Also, keep in mind if he's just sitting there in his car time and time again just lurking at children chances are he's masterbating. It sure would be nice if you could get that on film, eh?

Also, you could solicit help from your neighbors by passing out flyers and a description of his car. Coordinate your efforts and fill up the detective's answering machine with complaints.

Good luck and let us know how it goes. Thanks for posting.

hi, and welcome. evidence is key here. pictures and video help establish a pattern of behavior. If he doesnt live in the neighborhood and is just hanging out and driving by he could be charged with stalking. keep us posted. thats just freaky

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Your situation is about as scarey as it gets! I would get it on vidio and make sure that the police are called each time he is out there. Did the registery say his address was in your neighborhood? If he is new to the area, I am hopeing that you are just now noticing him and his actions are alot more innocent then they are appearing, but wow would I be worried too!

you said he was on the sex offender's registry, get a restraining order based on the fact he is stalking your house and childrens school and you are in fear of your life...he will be picked up in no time and take a video of him or use your picture phone if you have one...he will go down hard being on the registry...if no one responds to your fears...it might be time to take things in your own hands with alternative actions, but I think the police will take you very seriously on this...
