I posted here in May about the arrest of my husband for molesting my 11 yr old daughter. Several court dates have been set and all were continued. Well court was set again for 8/8/05. I haven't heard from the DA or arresting officer for the past yr. On 8/3/05 I called the DA's office and ask about the trial. Was told to bring my daughter in for them to talk with her. Well being a single parent with kids I had to work, so my older daughter, took her and I came by after work. This was on 8/4/05. Now they've had a whole year to talk with my 2 kids. But they choose to wait 3 or 4 days before trial. Anyway after talking with my daughter on the 4th, the DA said she wanted me to bring her in again that she'd like to talk to her for about another hour. That was fine with me. But on Friday 8/5/05 the arresting officer came to my home (I was at work). He knocked on the door and asked to speak to my 13 yr old son. When my son came to the door he was told by the officer to put his shoes on the he was taking him to the DA's office. Not knowing what to do, my son complied. I was never asked for permission for them to come to my home and take my son. Inroute to the DA's office i got a call at work from the officer, not asking me could he take my son, he told me " I have your son and i'm taking him to the DA's office. I got very upset and told him he had no right to take my son from my home without my permission. He didn't say anything just gave my son the phone. I asked him if he was ok and he said yes, i said are u sure and he answered yes. But i could hear the fright in my son's voice. I called both my daughters and one met him at the DA's Office and gave the cop a good talking too. I arrived a few mins later and he heard the same from me. The officer was very angry and accused me and my older daughter for trying to defend my husband. And staying alot of other thing that was unnessasary. On 8/4/05 when i took my ll yr old in, the DA said for sure he would be tried not 8/8/05 but 8/9/05. We wanted this trial over with before school started so my daughter would have some closure, and go on with her life. After what happened to my son and the officer, the trial has been continued until who knows. I have called the DA's office 6 or 7 times and left messages and no one has returned my call. Please if anyone has any suggestions as to what I should do please let me know. Sorry so long. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
