I live in FL and have just been told that someone I know left the state of TX because of child molestation charges (there's apparently a warrant for his arrest). I don't know the validity of this information and need to know how/who I need to contact in TX or FL to verify the info. I want to keep this to myself until I know this is true and then report him to authorities. Any information is appreciated. Thank you.

First of al you need to check the city he lives in and call the police dept. If your not sure of the city then call the county. anyone tyhat has a warrent will be able to find out. Also if you contact the florida police they should be able to do a background check very quickly and know if there are any outstanding warrents on the person your inquiring about . I would suggest that you look into this so that there arent anymore victims if thats the case. More then likely once someone has been charged they understand the consequences and doubtfully will engage in that type of behaviour again though possible . But in either case he needs to stand up for what he has done if anything . Depending on the charge I doubt he will serve any jail time anyway most first time offenses are probation , therapy and fines

If you know his name and where he is just call the local police in his area. You don't have to release your name to give police tips on fugitives. They can run the warrant check and pick him up. It's routine business for them.

The local police should be able to run an NCIC and check for outstanding warrants.
