I wanted to know if thier is a way to find a child molester? I was molested 30 years ago, a number of times. But after a few years i forgot the mans name. And last night I had a dream that i was walking down a street in NY and his name was in bright lights (weird i know) but i know 100% the name is right ([Moderator note: Name removed because names of alleged offenders are not permitted unless allegations or convictions can be verified in the media or by other means])and I also know for a fact that thier were many other boys he did this too.What can I do to find out if he was ever found out and put in jail, or if thier was a way I can do something about it. I know it has been a long time but the scumbag might still be alive and still molesting children. Thank you for your time... fancc2000@aol.com

There isnt alot you can do about it legally. The only state that attempted to run a statute of limitations out that long was California and their court thru it out on appeal (can't retroactively eliminate it).

As for finding him it might be easy. If you have his name and a former addresss there are search companies (skip-tracing outfits) that specialize in locating people.

Or perhaps hire a private investigator.

I will ask you what you hope to gain by finding him? You said you know there were others but you also said it sounds like no one ever told. Is there some reason now its come up again?
