I have been reading alot of things on here. I am not one to make enemies but....
After what has happened in my family i think ppl seriously need help. I am not a shrink nor do i claim to be but i cannot see how someone can do the things pedos do to ppl let alone children. I have 3 children and it is sick to think about that stuff. They are young and defensless. And it pisses me off that ppl get away with things and the children have to try to defend themselfs when they have done nothing wrong. Something is seriously wrong with this society,

Josie,
You don't have to be a shrink to know that having sex with children is wrong - very wrong. People shouldn't have to put up with child molesters getting away with anything. You mentioned that your family has had a bad experience....did you all call the police and report it? I would be interested in your story if you have the strength to post it. I wish your family well and pray that something good comes out of a bad situation.

The only thing pedophiles "do" to people is cause those people to lose any common sense they may have possessed.

You mean care about and show affection towards people and children. After all that is what pedophiles do. If you are refering to sex, I can understand without any problem why two people would want to have sexual intimacy. Since children are also sexual and DO consent, they also desire it. The only sick thing I see is the mentality that makes something beautiful between two people wrong.

Don't forget all those people pedophiles don't do anything too. I'm talking about the percentage of pedophiles like me that dont act out.

While some out of hate or ignorance would group us all together its clear there is a BIG difference.

As for thoughts they are involuntary as is having the illness. I sure as hell dont feel guilty about having an illness.

But you have twisted my question. Josie said pedophiles do things to "people", as well as to "children". The only logical thing to be drawn from such a statement is that Josie thinks pedophiles do things to adults. I simply asked her to clarify.

I'll be the last person you'll see stating that all pedophiles act out.
BTW, I think you are doing a commendable job of controlling your urges. And I think your insight would be helpful to others in therapy, particularly youthful offenders who were themselves abused.

In 1995 I was accussed of having sex with a 14 year old girl. She said she was asleep and that I pulled off her clothes and was inside her when she woke up. This girl was a police lutinetes daughter. I was asked to give a blood sample so I did and it came back neg. Then I was asked to give a Dna sample and I did it said that I was excluded from the case and the state asked for another sample it came back with the same resul. It also stated that there were 5 other DNA samples lifted from her and that I was the only one who was being charged with the crime. My lawyer was a freind of this victims father and this was stated in open court. But he was still allowed to proceed in my case. Before the trail he tells me that I am looking at ten years if I loose and that the state is willing to give me a deal of probation with no regerstry and no classes so I plead because I have no faith in the justice system. Now I have this charge on my record and every law that comes out apllies to me. I cant even drop my daughter at school.Now what the hell do you suggest that I do?

Get a real lawyer and use every appeal tactic in the book to get your plea thrown out. If that doesn't work, invent something. The term "gross miscarriage of justice" comes to mind, and has been used successfully in appeals before.

I think there might be anothe explanation. Without Josie here to clarify everything is speculation, but what if Josie meant that the people she refers to as pedos befriend and groom people in order to satisfy their sexual desires and do things that cause physical and emotional pain for the victims. So she may have meant that she can't rationalize how anyone would do such things to anyone (people), *especially* children.

That is the way I also read and understood what Silver meant Anti.H. PIERCE, are you also saying it is normal for children to have sex? I cannot believe some of the things I am reading on this site. It is making me sick to my stomach.I came on this site by chance and I think it helps to talk about the problems some of us are going through, but it seems some are only on for a cheap thrill. In a couple of the letters someone is asking the abused family's what was done to their children. Why do you want to know the details?
