I know a person that has been sexually molesting childeren for the past 20 years. He has never been caught by the law... only by some of the childrens parents. None of the parents were willing to press charges. Only 7 months ago we got a call from a family telling us thier son had been sexually molested by this person. He most recently attempted to become part of the Big Brother program. I phoned them to let them know what I knew. My question is... Is there anyway to stop this guy !! Everything we have tried has run into dead ends. Thank you for your help.

Is this a joke? Are you saying you actually have irrefutable evidence that a pedophile is out there praying on his victims? Do something! Anything. Call the police. Call the Distrcit Attorney's office. If this guy is did what you say he did, there's at least one child out there who they'll get to testify. Call them every day. Call watch dog groups. Do anything to get that guy off the street.

I cant believe what I'm hearing. How can we as parents feel good about allowing a known sex offender to continue his behavior and to continue hurting our innocent children. If we dont protect our children, no one else will. These parents who have not obtained the support from our judicial system, crisis centers, and other organizations to put a stop to this unacceptable behavior are teaching their own children the wrong lesson here. The child will never have a complete feeling that their parents are supporting them. They will grow up having a tough time dealing with this if not sooner, later on their own. The children will not be able to have a meaningful relationship with anyone until they have put mental closure on what happended to them.
Im sickened by what is going on in this world with sex offenders.
If I were you, I would put a bug in someones ear at the crisis center, DHS, you name it. This person needs to be exposed.

Peter, please share with us what you have tried to stop this pedophile. Law enforcement isn't going to catch a criminal like this in the act. The best way to deal with it is to go down to your local police precinct and tell them what you know. Give them the names of others who have information. Parents may be afraid to come forward if the only evidence is the testimony of a young child, but if the accused has been doing this for 20 years there are many victims. And some of the victims must be adults now. There is power in numbers and the accused can be tried and convicted for crimes that are many years old.
If the accused is a powerful person, public figure, etc. and that makes it difficult for you to go to your local police precinct, contact the attorney general for your state, the FBI, the department of criminal justice or one of the organizations listed under Useful Sites (http://www.sexcriminals.com/sites.html.
This person can be dealt with. It just takes effort and the support of the victims and the victims' families.
