So the guy who finished his parole last year for 6 counts of selling crack to minors who just moved in across the street from you yesterday? You won't find him on there anywhere.

Oh bull. Just do a background check on him. What's the big deal? Get over it will ya? If it's that important for you to know that your neighbor 15 years ago got busted for DUI or smoking pot then check it out. It's ridiculous to complain about the registry then in the same breath whine about not having easy access to criminal backgrounds on other types of crimes. If not having easy access to other types of criminals pisses you off that badly think about how much it would piss people off if they didn't have easy access to sex offender's histories. It's all about supply and demand. Sex crimes piss more people off than drug crimes or property crimes for example. Obviously this is why the people have demanded a registry for sex offenders. I see little or no demand for other types of crimes.

See an abbreviation or acronym, but don't know what it stands for? Consult the Glossary.
