Thats right !! everything would be over for me, I could never trust him again, he would repulse me for him to touch me , he would be G-O-N-E !!!!
That is an easy answer if the SO were your husband or boyfriend, you could easily break up with him. What if the SO were someone like your son or other relative? Would your answer be the same?
My husband is coming home from the county jail next week (contact offense against adult). I am feeling physically ill just thinking about it. I don't know what, if any, reaction we will get from neighbors if they should find out. The only thing that I do know for sure is that if anybody comes to my door to spew their hatred or demand that I move--I will be proudly paying $10 to run a criminal check with my state police department. It shows any and all convictions, including misdemeanors. I think that those who want to make convictions public shouldn't have any problem with their own convictions being made public, right?
As an aside, about one year ago a crack dealer moved into my apartment building. He was evicted after a short time, but during that time there were people smoking crack in the hallway and all manner of dangerous looking armed folks about. Now, if you want to believe that my husband is a danger to every woman in the neighborhood, fine. But drug dealers are dangerous to every single person and child in the neighborhood. Anyone that ever visited me could have been shot and killed. Luckily we don't have a drug dealer registry. God knows we only have to worry about sex offenders.
