Riviera Beach Police Officer Ken Thomas, 33, was arrested Friday and charged with cruelty toward a child, abuse without great harm, after the Department of Children's Services contacted the Sheriff's Office.
DCF noticed the girl with belt marks on her, the Sheriff's Office said, declining to say how the child was related to Thomas, a police officer for 13 years.
