FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- A father accused of giving his infant daughter a deadly dose of alcohol appeared in court Wednesday.
Mackenson Dantus pleaded not guilty to manslaughter in the death of his 3-month-old daughter on Valentine's Day 2004.
Police said Dantus and his wife Mardala Derival gave the baby a mixture that included vodka in order to make her be quiet.
