Supreme Court seems split on police searches of homes
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-11-08-scotus-searches_x.htm
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court appeared deeply divided Tuesday over whether police have the right to enter a home to search for drugs if one resident of the home gives permission to search and another resident refuses.
This is an interesting case. She said they could search, he said they couldn't. Police did anyway, and found cocaine traces on a straw. Thing is, only he was charged. They both live there. So why him and not her?
Selective prosecution.
