I thought this was an interesting article about a Judge ruling that the policy to not ticket deputies is illegal. I got a parking ticket downtown once while performing my duties as a law enforcement officer. I broke the law because my front tire was touching the line and should not have been (I am not a habitual parking offender). Even though it pissed me off I knew I was guilty and didn't have the nerve to argue about it since we should set the examples. How can convicted felons respect law enforcement if there is a double standard?

Maybe we should make DP1 register as a habitual Parking Offender and maintain a parking log wherever you go and park -like at the red light outside the mall in your town!!!!!

Disclaimer - This is a funny post it is a joke and not intended to be a hijacking of a thread.
"(I am not a habitual parking offender). "
Sure thats what they all say. I think DP1 should have a polygraph to PROVE she isnt a habitual parking offender. Also special license plates, drivers license and her and her car should be posted on the internet so others can be warned!!!!!
Some possible polygraph questions:
1) Is your name DP1?
2) Do you drive a car?
3) Have you ever parked your car illegally other then what you got a ticket for?
4) Did you go to police and confess you parked illegally and didnt get caught?
5) You didnt - do you feel its ok to break the law as long as you dont get caught?
6) If youve done it more then once how can you not be a habitual parking offender?
Just some humor here - habitual parking offender - I've read about people with 70-80 parking tickets before in the paper and wonder "how in the world do you get 80 tickets?!" .

We have it wrong Silver, it's not DP1 problem, its the vehicle she drives-the vehcile knows!!!!!! Her continued support of her vehcile parking in offended spots , now thinks it can park wherever it wants, whenever it wants!!! Perhaps some multi offender parking school will help??

The parking space asked my car to park there. It wasn't my fault that the spot looked large enough for by vehicle to park in. I just paid the ticket because it was in my best interest. I didn't do it. Honest. I am a good guy. (LOL)
Glad you guys are having fun over my parking ticket. And no Silver I am not a repeat parking offender, and I wouldn't take a polygraph unless I consulted with Orolan and antipolygraph.org first. Ya gotta bone up on the countermeasures, know what I mean?

Good your protecting yourself. Weve all heard the stories of the evil polygraph operator (the one with the horns and pitchfork).

When a tennis ball hits on the line, it's considered to be "Out." I guess you were "out" that day also.
In other words, you were "outed."

I have a CD with that song on it, along with many others from that era. My girls roll their eyes and pretend to gag when I put it on. One day my 16 year-old actually listened to the words of many of the songs and informed me that I need not say one more word about the content of her rap songs because our "oldies" were all about sex, drugs and in the case of many like CSN&Y, strongly anti-government.
I couldn't come up with a good answer to rebut with, so I kept my mouth shut.

When my former friends at the time were "bogarting that joint" and not passing it over to me, little lights of lucidity would come through and I also would notice the mentions of sex, drugs, and anti-government in the music of our day. Maybe that insight was provided by "The spirit in the sky."

"After the Gold Rush" I "Almost Cut My Hair" with a "Broken Arrow". It was because of a "Country Girl" named "Guinevere" who asked for "Just a Song Before I Go". We were in "Ohio", "Expecting To Fly" to "Woodstock". We were going to go "Down to The Wire" and get "Wasted On The Way" while "Eight Miles High".
"For What It's Worth", this "Southern Man" said "Love The One Your With", and "Laughing", my little "Cinnamon Girl" with a "Heart Of Gold" spun around "Like A Hurricane", said "One Of These Days", and was gone.
Well this "Old Man" and "Unknown Legend" must "Carry On" and relegate that event to "My Back Pages" and head on "Homeward Through The Haze". You know, "Only Love Can Break Your Heart", so "Teach The Children" to look to the "Southern Cross" to find "Silver And Gold".
"Everybody, I Love You".

Good message from one who was "Out on the weekend." Pretty much proves there was no "Needle and the damage done" over there on your "Sugar Mountain." "I am a child" also. Sometimes "The loner","Helpless" when the "Harvest" of "Words(between the lines of age)" sink in heavy to my heart, I turn to "The old laughing lady" with "Tired Eyes" and utter, "Tonight's the night" and she remarks backs, "Are you ready for the Country" too?
With nary a tone of anger, I whisper to my "Cowgirl in the sand" that "I believe in you" and we both then recognize in each other that "There's a world" beyond the mere want sometimes that "A man needs a maid."
"Long may you run!"

No I don't think that's possible. But it is possible that LJ's ponytail is too tight.

"Off the line," DP1! "Almost cut my hair" as a result. How about if I switch to pigtails instead of a ponytail--less strain on the cerebral cortex, possibly?
Speaking of "off the line," if you'd have been off that line awhile back ago when this incident allegedly occurred, there'd be no thread such as this one for us to banter about.
You 'criminals" create interesting conversation for us "modified" people!
