On each forum's thread list page 10 threads are displayed. I've been monitoring the forums and have noticed that on a typical day more than 10 threads (in the General forum) are posted to. In order to cut down on people having to click to page 2 to get to threads with recent activity and to reduce the likelihood a thread won't get read or posted to simply because it's dropped down to page 2 or 3 I'm considering increasing the number of threads per page to 15 (and possibly later to a higher number).

Thoughts? Pros, cons?

Make it 20!!!!

One thing I'd like to see is a menu at the top of the threads that says NEXT / PREVIOUS like there is at the bottom. Sometimes when you click "forum home" and go to the top of the page and you were really on page two you have to scroll all the way down to hit "NEXT" again.

With a menu on top it would be alot easier.

I agree. I'll add the bottom navigation and sorting controls to the top shortly (probably will be done by the time you read this).

But I'm keeping it at 15 threads per page right now, but will bump it up down the road if I think the pros outweigh the cons.

Coming in a little late here, but I was thinking about asking you if a greater number could be displayed. An lo and behold, it was so. I thought maybe you had a little psychic ability in you.
I think 15 is fine for now. I don't mind going to the next page, but I still have that pesky problem of defaulting back to the 1st page when leaving a thread on the 2nd page.
