While we have focused attention of Africa we have forgotten all about these women and children. Why?
The bruality there was horrific in so many ways and when the United Nations went in, they simply joined in the raping and abuse.
If we are going to be dolling out aid money, we need to cut in half the amount going to Africa and start using more of it in this region.

I agree. But i amnot sure that they are done with the war there as the history has been brutal for that country. I believe that if we didnt have the multinational forces still in place war would still be raging. none the less the article is very heart wrenching but at the same time shows that people still forgive those who cause pain. Im wondering why its so difficult to do so iin our own country.

When the USA is the country with the multinational peacekeeping force in it because the country has plunged into civil war and total anarchy, a lot of other people will be asking themselves that same question.

in most white dominated societies one statement in common when it comes to kids ' kids are our future' but it seems that kids concieved thru rape are less important.

The next one won't be so polarized. It will look more like Afghanistan and Ethiopia, with hundreds of warlords around the country each staking their claim to a piece of the pie.
