One resident in their development printed a flier with her husband's photo to distribute around her children's school.

Isn't that considered a violation of the registry statute? If that happened in California there would be serious charges to consider.

Not down there. Supposedly it is against the law to ALTER the flyer, but we already saw early this year that even that is OK to do.

No address is listed for a dead offender, Coffee said

Really?
Joyner, Edgar Willie
Reported Deceased
31 Bayview Dr
Apalachicola
FL 32320-1210
Source: Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement
Received: 12-23-1998
Type of Address: Residence

What is that? Or would Coffee say that since he is "reported" deceased he isn't really 'actually' dead yet?
"People make choices in their lives," Kanka said

They sure do. You for example chose to ignore the fact that a two-time child rapist lived across the street. And for that I must suffer? You should be in prison.

Here's a link to Edgar Willie Joyner's registry listing. In the future, if you're going to mention someone is a sex offender, especially if you're going to include details from the listing, post a link or if not possible steps to verify.

Sorry. Usually when I try to link they don't work, instead taking you to a "your search session has expired" screen. Apparently Florida doesn't work that way.

At google news if you type in 'sex offender' and subscribe to the news with that you get a long of interesting articles and one thing i have noticed over the past few months is more and more news outlets are publishing negative articles about the sex offender registration and the various laws that are now on the books. Maybe the manipulation by our politicians to use sex offenders as a 'get votes' tool are starting to backfire.

you are very observant. In the last year there have been an increasing amount of negative articles related to the registries and banishment "leper" laws. I do think that America is slowly starting to wake up and break out of the kool aid stupor that politicians and radicals have been forcing us to drink for the last 12 years

Everyday there is more and more sex crimes, repeat offenders doing their evil, the law system is overwhelmed with cases, so many that the system cannot keep up with the reports , paperwork, sites update and just general tracking of these sicko people.

What works ? ....What would stop a SEX CRIMINAL ?.
