sorry dp1, that sounds like cronyism. cops take an oath which gives them certain powers, privelages and authority that the average citizen cannot enjoy. so why should the penalties and consequences not be greater to reflect the greater betrayal of trust?
sounds like some minimizing, failure to take responsibility and justifying to me. can it be that it is more of a shield to limit accountability for those in LE related fields, "just in case?"
