You said it all right there.
Nothing(except abusers themselves) has contributed to the continued abuse of children like the public shame and humiliation from the community notification and internet lists.
Kids see what happens to victims in the schools and in society. Kids who are undiscovered victims themselves. They choose just to endure the abuse, which is MUCH easier than being shunned by your friends.
Every act of violence against a RSO just serves to keep more of the majority of victims(family) quiet. No matter how much they might hate what Mom is doing to them, it is still better than foster care and seeing mom bruised and bloody in an orange jumpsuit, the home burned down and all their friends poking fun at them(the victim) because they are tainted and abused meat.
