A man turned himself in to authorities in the killing of two convicted child rapists, saying he picked the victims from a sheriff's Web site, police said.
So much for the idea that he just "happened" to pick two RSO's, or that he knew them in prison, or that he met them in a grocery store.
Pure hateful vigilante action made possible by the registry.

Why turn himself in? Maybe he wants to start a movement.

I am not certain if the is the same news article I read about this. In that article he stated that this was premeditated. There may also be another suspect, a female that drove the car and waited on him then "lost" the gun for him. The article I also read of course decided to use the crimes Duncan committed for this idiots reason for murdering these two sex offenders. It also stated there were many more letters on their way to news stations.

He's no different than that clown in New York. He wants to be a hero, big man on the cell block until the Governor pardons him.

DONNA GORDON BLANKINSHIP
Associated Press
BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) -- A man arrested in the shooting deaths of two convicted child rapists tried to plead guilty before he had even been formally charged.
Michael Anthony Mullen, 35, will likely be charged with two counts of first-degree murder, Whatcom County deputy prosecutor Mac D. Setter said Tuesday.
Police said Mullen used a sheriff's Web site to find the men and might have targeted them in reaction to a notorious case in Idaho in which investigators believe three people were killed and children abducted for sex in May. One of those children was later slain.
[snip]
During the hearing, Setter said an unidentified woman drove Mullen to and from the men's home. The prosecutor said Mullen told her he wanted to see a possible rental home, asked him to drop him off at the sex offenders' house and said he would call for a ride home.
Only later did she realize he may have killed them with her gun, which remains missing, Setter said. Investigators consider her a witness, he added.
Mullen, whose record includes mostly nonviolent offenses, including theft and bad checks, may have been motivated by the case of Joseph Edward Duncan III...
Confirms what you have read.
The letter read in part that the roommate was allowed to leave ''so he could get the message out to others of his kind that I am coming for him.''
About the only message it is going to send is that registered sex offenders are better off going underground in order to avoid vigilantism as a result of the registries. The registries weren't intended to promote vigilantism, but that is exactly what they are doing. People's property values go down. Blame the registered sex offenders living nearby. One sex offender kills someone, blame all formerly convicted sex offenders and starting killing them as a pro-active approach to prevention.

"If anyone had the right to be angry with my father, it was me, his primary victim," she said, adding she reconciled with her father three years ago.
Precisely. And that means nobody else has a right to be angry at him. After all, he didn't abuse THEM. He abused HER.
