For those who speculated that the John Mayo killing may have been a case of vigilante justice (and due to information discovered via the sex offender registry to boot), here's one which actually might be a case of vigilante justice (though the sex offender registry doesn't appear to have played a role). Obviously, like the Mayo case, this could turn out to be something different than it appeared, so we'll have to keep our eyes on media coverage of the Willie Williams Jr. murder.

I have real mixed emotions about this one because if he really did do it, you can almost understand the reaction even though it was not the right thing to do. I have a big problem when people go around killing 10, 15 years after the fact and then using the SO excuse. I guess I would have to know more before I could make a real judgement call, like were the police called? To many unanswered questions. whoever did it better hope the kid was telling the truth, because kids do lie, it would be a shame for all involved if that were the case. I think myself, as a mother, no matter what rage I felt, my first priority would have been to get her to a hospitol to know either way. Who know's maybe she did, I just hope we find out what happened.

I wouldn't waste too much time investigating and closing that case. Accidental deaths happen all the time:-))

Police said it may take some time to sort the case out. So far, police have made no arrests and identified no suspects.

Best whitewash job I've seen in years. Pretty obvious who did it.
I'll go out on a limb and say the little ho and/or her sister tried to get Williams to pay her for sex, he refused, she shot him and robbed him, and made up the "assault" knowing it would garner immediate sympathy.

Assuming that he really did sexually assault someone--how does going to his house and killing him not qualify as "vigilante justice"?
