so far my senators are for this bill and i spoke to Evan Bayh about the issue while making sure he was going to vote against the patriot act yesterday morning. Some Senators, including him, while being concerned with the damage that can be done by this legislation are still more concerned with public perception(read votes) if they appear soft on crime as many groups pushing for this bill promise to condemn and publically demonize those that oppose this legislation. While I see plenty of radicals on the hill, Im not seeing any RSOs lobbying against this bill. You guys had better get your rears in gear and make your voices heard or you will only have yourselves to blame for just sitting by and letting this get through
