Surely you are exaggerating a little? and if you are it is not a fact. In fact there are extremely few ways around it especially now.
I should have qualified that. I should have said there are a 1,000 ways if your I.Q. is over say 80 and you live in a fairly large city (which I would bet a majority of former offenders do). And the Registrant does need at least a modest amount of cash - a normal job provides enough. Being rich makes nullifying Registration trivial. 1,000 ways was just a swag, it would depend on how you counted all the little nuances.
But anyway, I also should have better explained what I meant by "ways around it". I did not mean not Registering. I meant Register but live your life in such a way to enhance the uselessness of Registration. That is SO easy. I've done it for a very long time now and I have thoroughly convinced myself (and it is reinforced nearly daily) that Registration is useless. And all the while that it's been useless it has been damaging society.
I have to laugh every time I see the latest attempt to make Registration useful. Like all the news articles advising the sheeple to "check for SEX OFFENDERS in your neighborhoods!!!!!!!!", Banishment, e-mail alerts, maps with former offenders pinpointed, the National Register (what will that waste possibly accomplish!?!), etc., etc. What a huge, huge, colossal waste of energy!
I spend very little time where I'm Registered. I'll bet you don't know where I do spend my time. Neither does ANYONE else. The police and my neighbors could not tell you if their very lives depended on it. Out of the thousands of police who work near where I live I would bet my life that only one would even recognize me. MAYBE. I'm leaving town tomorrow. Know where I'm going? Surely someone does, right? Too funny. That's alright though as long as Registration, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. makes you feel safe (seems to do the opposite most of the time!) and lets you feel that you're better than some people and you're "sticking it to them". It's not really about protecting children you know.
