Megan's Law Should Not Survive

Actually, Megan's Law does not need to survive. It is worthless. There are 1,000 ways around it. Period. It's a fact.

Instead, Probation/Parole should be watching offenders under their supervision very, very closely. They, not banishment laws, should control where their probationers/parolees live. They should control where, how, and when they work. AND, if they feel like their charges' neighbors, employers, or whomever should know anything about the person, they should inform them however they feel is appropriate. It's very simple and it's effective. When the person has completed probation or parole, that's it. Just like everyone else.

The current system is a complete failure and mess.

See an abbreviation or acronym, but don't know what it stands for? Consult the Glossary.
