Good question. Maybe dp1 or 1dadof5 have access to some data they can share. I did a search on New Hampshire's Registered Offenders Against Children search site and he's not listed. I tried a few variations of his last name in case the article or registry had it spelled wrong, but that yielded the same results. I also checked that site's warrant list for non-compliant offenders (warning: link is to an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file) and I scanned it twice, but didn't see him listed. According to the article Police chief talks about background checks vs. privacy:

Bennett says nabbing wanted sex offenders like Ianni isn't as simple as running a check on every carney who comes through town.


Which to me, implies that he was wanted, presumably by New Hampshire, which I assume would mean a warrant would be out for his arrest. So maybe his conviction was for a crime against an adult. Or I'm missing something.
