Campfield said he didn't know about Eatherly's criminal past until questioned by local news media this week. He then decided to ask Eatherly to leave.
why ask him to leave? its not like he is dangerous or anything....what?...oh, your reputation is at risk. cant be a neo-con if you allow a sex offender to have a shot at a normal life. Now who is going to do all the things you had this guy doing? he mowed your grass, cleaned your house and you even had him painting and doing other things for you for little or no compensation. Heck, until the newspaper came at you, you even considered him a friend. Some friend YOU are!! And so much for compassionate conservatism.(btw, this offender doesnt look a day over 18 himself)
Not to make light of this guy's mistake with the 13 year old girl(who incidentally claimed to Christopher that she was 18! according to his defense atty., she even had a fake ID. She had also recently broke off a relationship with another person who happened to be 24 at the time. Is this another case of a victim with more than one offender?
I was unable to obtain the name of this other 24 year old who had the relationship with her.
Whats really amazing is that all of the information I just wrote about was available from a public records search and then ordering the actual case file through intelius. It even has the girls name, birthdate and detective's "information" avidavit. So much for TN protecting the ID of victims! Besides the offender listed in the article, Knoxville prosecuted 130+ similar cases that year.
Of course now that I have read this lawmaker's weblog, it isnt hard to figure out why he kicked this guy out. This guy is a faaaaaaaar right wing radical who states among other things that anyone who has an abortion should be tried for capital murder, says homosexuals are a blight in the community that should be erradicated. Is this guy a wierdo or what?

First, thanks for sharing the details. If you'd be interested in sharing the steps involved with doing this type of research, let me know. I know that info. could be of value to many site visitors, for many different reasons.

Its simply amazing what someone with an internet connection and a credit card can do. What people dont realize these days is that more and more, despite claims to the contrary, most companies will gladly sell your information unless you physically write a letter specifically listing all the different ways they CANT share your information with others. That said, With some very few exceptions, a buttload of info is available on most anyone, even senators, governors, whoever.
There are several companies out there that specialize in providing that compolation of information to you, for a price of course.
All the information that I provided here, cost $50.00 and a few phone calls.
First of all, already possessing several important identifiers for the subjects, and already paid a subscription to these websites
(Intelius.com , know-x.com and ussearch.com among others, i like these for ease of use) one can narrow down to the correct person to search records for. In this case, all his case numbers and arrest records were provided,(14.95) along with a SSN check providing a list of all the reported jobs in which he paid taxes for the last 8 years, (19.95)I get all previously reported addresses included in that. I can get his credit report with the information I have just recieved for another 14.00 for a cross reference (just to narrow down the list of those I want to speak to concerning him)
Additionally, I get a list of all property and registered /titled autos in his name.
when it came to the meat and potatoes so to speak of what i really needed to know, I was able to use his case number and his attorney info to locate the publically available case records of the court. I then paid 8.00 to the clerk of courts and got his entire case history faxed to me, which included the officer/detectives affidavit of probable cause which had the victims name, address and age provided in the document. I got the chronological court history which had the dates of any court appearances and what transpired that day, the PSI or PSR (depending upon your states abbreviation), his actual plea agreement and disposition of the case.
The jucier parts of the story came from phone calls to the victims neighbors posing as a reporter doing a story(which, in a way, i was), calling the legislators neighbors, doing the same thing. What people are willing to talk about when the subject matter is controversial.
But anyway, thats it in a nutshell and a waste of a couple hours that could have been better spent doing far more productive things. But sometimes a story or post just gets to me.
As I have said before, I have been working on my own study of RSO's in my state as a way to stay on top of any legal battles that may need to be fought in the future in the legislature. Our state has a subscription service that gives one access to other for fee databases which even includes BMV info and a backdoor way for the average joe to run license plate numbers to see who owns a specific car, and fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, just enough info to find out everything else you want to know about an Indiana resident. Inthe case of RSO's, im trying to find out the original charge, the affidavit of information and the disposition of the case, including plea deals. So far one of the more interesting RSO cases concerns a former state rep. who had a "gay transaction" with another adult in a park in New Castle, was caught by police and as a result of prosecution, ended up on the registry for it. There are a bunch of people in marion county registered for a similar offense.
Wow, who knew BIG BROTHER could be so much fun.
Those who seek to find out about others, especially potentially dangerous offenders need to not give up with the initial resistance that comes from court clerks not wanting to get that case history info for you. (most who oppose are just lazy) Some do not take credit cards, so you may need to physically go and obtain the records in person. If too far away, mail a money order to those that dont take CCards and always send double just in case you want more records quickly. Remember all you sneaky PI wannabees, persistance is gold. dont give up until you get the info you want, and that 90% of the time, you are legally entitled to have

Isn't the Internet wonderful? People just don't realize how much information our very own government puts out there. Moreover, companies like Lexis-Nexis are gleaning and compiling all this data in one huge database where you can pay them for the information you want rather than hunting around at several different sources. Some information you can get for free on the Internet, while others you have to open your pocket book. And if you start posting on certain discussion boards, someone will eventually give you the information you seek for free if they have access to it. There is even special software you can buy that gives you access to information on the web.

Why did he kick him out? I don't get it really. Is treating sex offenders poorly something to be proud of? Were there children in the home? Why didn't he know beforehand? I don't know, I'm pretty much sick of hearing about how little compassion people have nowadays.

So where does he expect this man to go and to live?
If he won't accept him why should anyone else?
Denying sex offenders homes in this way(and as also happens under the proximity laws),and jobs(many states post work addresses, whose going to have their business address posted as the workplace of a sexual offender?what other worker won't object to working with an offender,if this happens?),Is just asking for them to slip the register ,and go underground, with a new race of fugitive desperados created, the chances of reofffending are thus greatly enhanced.
But this obvious fact is being ignored, with people boasting of their cruelty to offenders.
