Its simply amazing what someone with an internet connection and a credit card can do. What people dont realize these days is that more and more, despite claims to the contrary, most companies will gladly sell your information unless you physically write a letter specifically listing all the different ways they CANT share your information with others. That said, With some very few exceptions, a buttload of info is available on most anyone, even senators, governors, whoever.
There are several companies out there that specialize in providing that compolation of information to you, for a price of course.
All the information that I provided here, cost $50.00 and a few phone calls.
First of all, already possessing several important identifiers for the subjects, and already paid a subscription to these websites
(Intelius.com , know-x.com and ussearch.com among others, i like these for ease of use) one can narrow down to the correct person to search records for. In this case, all his case numbers and arrest records were provided,(14.95) along with a SSN check providing a list of all the reported jobs in which he paid taxes for the last 8 years, (19.95)I get all previously reported addresses included in that. I can get his credit report with the information I have just recieved for another 14.00 for a cross reference (just to narrow down the list of those I want to speak to concerning him)
Additionally, I get a list of all property and registered /titled autos in his name.
when it came to the meat and potatoes so to speak of what i really needed to know, I was able to use his case number and his attorney info to locate the publically available case records of the court. I then paid 8.00 to the clerk of courts and got his entire case history faxed to me, which included the officer/detectives affidavit of probable cause which had the victims name, address and age provided in the document. I got the chronological court history which had the dates of any court appearances and what transpired that day, the PSI or PSR (depending upon your states abbreviation), his actual plea agreement and disposition of the case.
The jucier parts of the story came from phone calls to the victims neighbors posing as a reporter doing a story(which, in a way, i was), calling the legislators neighbors, doing the same thing. What people are willing to talk about when the subject matter is controversial.
But anyway, thats it in a nutshell and a waste of a couple hours that could have been better spent doing far more productive things. But sometimes a story or post just gets to me.

As I have said before, I have been working on my own study of RSO's in my state as a way to stay on top of any legal battles that may need to be fought in the future in the legislature. Our state has a subscription service that gives one access to other for fee databases which even includes BMV info and a backdoor way for the average joe to run license plate numbers to see who owns a specific car, and fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, just enough info to find out everything else you want to know about an Indiana resident. Inthe case of RSO's, im trying to find out the original charge, the affidavit of information and the disposition of the case, including plea deals. So far one of the more interesting RSO cases concerns a former state rep. who had a "gay transaction" with another adult in a park in New Castle, was caught by police and as a result of prosecution, ended up on the registry for it. There are a bunch of people in marion county registered for a similar offense.
Wow, who knew BIG BROTHER could be so much fun.

Those who seek to find out about others, especially potentially dangerous offenders need to not give up with the initial resistance that comes from court clerks not wanting to get that case history info for you. (most who oppose are just lazy) Some do not take credit cards, so you may need to physically go and obtain the records in person. If too far away, mail a money order to those that dont take CCards and always send double just in case you want more records quickly. Remember all you sneaky PI wannabees, persistance is gold. dont give up until you get the info you want, and that 90% of the time, you are legally entitled to have

See an abbreviation or acronym, but don't know what it stands for? Consult the Glossary.
