Campfield said he didn't know about Eatherly's criminal past until questioned by local news media this week. He then decided to ask Eatherly to leave.
why ask him to leave? its not like he is dangerous or anything....what?...oh, your reputation is at risk. cant be a neo-con if you allow a sex offender to have a shot at a normal life. Now who is going to do all the things you had this guy doing? he mowed your grass, cleaned your house and you even had him painting and doing other things for you for little or no compensation. Heck, until the newspaper came at you, you even considered him a friend. Some friend YOU are!! And so much for compassionate conservatism.(btw, this offender doesnt look a day over 18 himself)
Not to make light of this guy's mistake with the 13 year old girl(who incidentally claimed to Christopher that she was 18! according to his defense atty., she even had a fake ID. She had also recently broke off a relationship with another person who happened to be 24 at the time. Is this another case of a victim with more than one offender?
I was unable to obtain the name of this other 24 year old who had the relationship with her.
Whats really amazing is that all of the information I just wrote about was available from a public records search and then ordering the actual case file through intelius. It even has the girls name, birthdate and detective's "information" avidavit. So much for TN protecting the ID of victims! Besides the offender listed in the article, Knoxville prosecuted 130+ similar cases that year.
Of course now that I have read this lawmaker's weblog, it isnt hard to figure out why he kicked this guy out. This guy is a faaaaaaaar right wing radical who states among other things that anyone who has an abortion should be tried for capital murder, says homosexuals are a blight in the community that should be erradicated. Is this guy a wierdo or what?
