Rhode Island law prohibits soliciting sex on the streets, but it does not criminalize prostitution that takes place indoors.
Interesting, eh?

they unfairly target women.
Really? I think only 70% of prostitutes are female. The rest are male or trannies. If that's an 'unfair targeting' than the registry with it's 90%+ male representation is definitely an unfair targeting.

I never saw the point in criminalizing prostitution as long as they weren't hanging out on the streets. The only thing worse than prostitution is giving it away free and that's legal. Makes no sense. If men are dumb enough to pay for it then why should women be deprived of taking their money? Ridiculous. I say legalize prostitution and raise the prices gals.

WOW, dp1, we agree on something. Lets make it legal nationwide, make the prostitutes get regular health exams for public safety and tax the johns. I have never understood how something that is legal to do for free becomes a crime when one person profits from it and the other side is desperate enough to pay for it. And it occurs every day simply without cash trading hands. We never raise a fuss when some guy is paying for Buffy's apartment and car just to have sex and a date her 3 times a month, the only difference is who is writing the checks and when.
Additionally, how does prostitution unfairly attack women? They are the ones impowered by prostitution. In a typical scenario, the prostitute is in the position of power, naming the price and what is allowed to transpire for that price. chances are it amounts to a "rollercoaster ride" for most johns... all the anticipation and waiting for a 5 minute ride and just as quickly as it began....its over.... and "Buffy" is moving on to the next sucker having drained you and your wallet leaving you with nothing but a brief memory to show for it!

Well, I never understood why it's legal for me to marry a 14 year-old and have sex with her, but it's not legal if I don't marry her. Same thing.

i guess its best to quickly marry them while they are young so you can divorce them by the rime they turn 21 and are way too old. Heck, a seven year marriage is a long time by today's standards. They can be single @21 and get all that wildness and rebellion out of thier system and remarry by 26. And you havent had to worry about going to jail(or having to hear "does this make me look fat?" or
"I hate my wrinkles")
So tidy and neat
oops, forgot to turn off J/J button

How is giving it away for free worse than prostitution? I wish I could find more women willing to give it away for free. ;-)) Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. lol.

How much are you paying?:-))
Just kidding. What I mean by giving it away free is slutting around without charging. Makes no sense. If you're going to be a slut you may as well be a rich slut. Nothing worse than a stupid slut. Know what I mean?

Ummm , granted it's been awhile since I was on the dating scene but unless things have changed ALOT then it was rarely ever given for free. Think about it, you have the cost of the dinner (usually at a upscale restuarant that you don't normally go to), the cost of a Movie, and throughout the entire courtship process you are most likely buying her gifts (typically jewelry and other expensive objects).
So how again does that constitute free?? On one hand you have a person buying items for a person and on the other you have them just handing out cash money.
I fail to see the diffrence :-)
Just kidding ;-)

c'mon, mawmaw, those prostitutes are sexual predators and deserve to die. you said that in another post that all sex offenders need to die. last time i checked that would include those thousands of registered sex offender prositutes. after all, the CMEC said they cant be cured and are waiting for the chance to re-offend
