I can just imagine how this "just wanted to let him know we know" went.......
"HEY PERVERT GET THE F' OVER HERE..... DID YOU KILL THAT KID????? F' PERVERT??????".
It isn't their job to "let him know" anything. Its harrassment and the penalty should be as severe as the penalty for not registering (ie: a felony conviction with no plea bargin and mandatory prison time).
