This basically sounds like the guy was drunk, did something he wasn't supposed to and is blaming it on being "asleep." Of course he is gonna have selective memory loss. What quack would support this theory and what woman would buy it?

My ex wasn't drunk or fatigued when he was "asleep" and fondled his daughter. This is just another lame-o excuse for a child molester.

I'm with the DA--a guilty plea says it all as in my case. Intelligent people aren't going to buy this "rare" excuse. It's rare because it's stupid. If a guy chooses to drink, he is responsible for his actions.
