This is long overdue. I scanned the ICE website the other nite...since their inception in 2003 as a New LE agency...ICE has rounded up and deported 5100 illegals convicted of serious crimes and deported them....I wrote them and praised them on their efforts.
The other nite we had a late breaking news story or a 18 year old girl who was picked up in a K-mart parking lot by two strange men, right infront of her family...needless to say LE was called by the 15 year old sister and two counties worth of LE was called in...they finally stopped the vehicle on I-95 and with guns drawn got the occupants out...today in the paper we find out that the girl was taken by smugglers because the family didnt pay the total smuggling cost. Now picture this...highspeed chase thru two counties....I-95 shut down for more than two hours....and when its all said and done, we find out there were 19 people living in the girls house....all illegals...and that was just a drop in the bucket for one smuggling run....

How ironic. The family reports a kidnapping because they refused to pay their smugglers once they got to this country, and the whole family ends up being deported because they are here illegally. Not a very smart move on their part. Oh well, they will just try sneaking back into the country again.

I hope they end up busting the smuggling ring, and give them long, long sentences. Now some of them will have to register as kidnappers.

Not a very smart move on their part.

The fact they actually sneaked INTO this country doesn't say a whole lot about their intelligence;-))

5100 criminal illegals gone is a move in the right direction. Sadly much, much more needs to be done. Of course during the time these 5100 were deported, 1.2 MILLION came in thier place.
I think I will be more happy when the President gets his head out of the sand and deploys 10-20,000 national guard troops to the border and SEAL IT OFF to illegals. A bigger fence and a few land mines would just be a bonus

But then who would pick the tomatoes? I guess I could start up a roving band of RSO's who would be 'migrant workers' like the Mexicans. They could just drive from town to town, state to state, following the work. Summers in the Northern truck-farming states, winters down in California, and in between Georgia peaches, Fresno strawberries and Florida oranges.

Won't that drive the collective sex offender registries of the affected states nuts;-))
