what a joke. how in the heck can the legislators in Michigan even think that they are going to be able to regulate the actions of a website that may even be located in Canada of all places.
Its not enforceable and a waste of the legislature's time.
This is simply a Bill with no other intention but to line the pockets of a particular business and open the door to litigation as a result.
What if a company such as true.com gave misleading or erronious information about a person registered on thier site and someone was hurt as a result. They become responsible for that and a victim would then be entitled to compensation for that

Im wondering what politician has their hand in this cookie jar,This is a serious breach of invasion of privacy and at best an attempt by goverment to regulate the internet. This is totally wrong and if the goverment has this much power why dont do they require porn sites to register each person and check their backgrounds before allowing them to surf porn?

at best an attempt by goverment to regulate the internet.

Hey, they're doing it in Utah, so why not?

I see it as a greater threat. The government is continuing in its efforts to control and regulate personal relationships. And winning.
