what a joke. how in the heck can the legislators in Michigan even think that they are going to be able to regulate the actions of a website that may even be located in Canada of all places.
Its not enforceable and a waste of the legislature's time.
This is simply a Bill with no other intention but to line the pockets of a particular business and open the door to litigation as a result.
What if a company such as true.com gave misleading or erronious information about a person registered on thier site and someone was hurt as a result. They become responsible for that and a victim would then be entitled to compensation for that
