The bill would allow the Internet posting of information about juveniles on the registry only if those youths are considered sexually violent predators

I've been watching this one, because I know a family in Colorado about to be devastated by it. You see, their now 16 year-old son is a "sexually violent predator" because at age 10 he digitally penetrated his 8 year-old sister during an "I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours" episode initiated by the sister. The son is the ONLY juvenile in his community to have successfully completed the treatment program. He's a straight-A student on a fast-track to being class president. His girlfriend is his own age and they are "waiting until they're married", if you know what I mean.

Is this kid on the SO registry there?

Obviously he is a monster and should be locked up forever and hounded until he dies.

Maybe he can move to Florida and Valerie can get out her measuring tape?

Yes, but Colorado used to only put repeat and absconded SO's on the Internet. All others required a person to prove they needed to know. So if you were from Denver and wanted the list for Boulder, you had to have some pretty good reasons or they wouldn't give it to you. And if they did, it was very specific to where in Boulder you were needing it for.
This bill allows local LEA's to put everybody on the Net.
