I know I will catch some flak from this post but most of you already know my personal situation years ago resulting in my oldest daughter forming my opinion on this subject. Where it doesn’t belong, In people’s personal lives. If this girl is old enough (16) to give consent to a sexual relationship, then this video should be a non-issue as it was made between two consenting, legal age people in a relationship and was never intended to be seen by anyone else or distributed to anyone else for that matter. The roommate has violated their privacy by viewing the video to see what was on it to begin with. He is guilty of theft as this tape was not his property. I hope this guy is no longer his roommate as he doesn’t need enemies posing as friends. This is also a prime example of how screwed up our legal system is. If it is not illegal to perform the sex act, then it certainly shouldn’t be illegal to videotape the event for personal use. This is a double standard that needs to be reversed by the courts. Now, if this boyfriend had made this video for the purpose of selling or otherwise distributing the tape to others, then it is a different matter as it is exploiting the girl against her wishes as I am very sure that most 17 year olds would not like others to see such a personal act.
