Lawson started throttling her, the affidavit shows, and she heard him say: "The first three or four I killed bothered me, but I kinda like it now."
If true, this guy should never be free again.
According to an affidavit, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation searched the area near the entrance ramp and found a prophylactic and a bloodstained McDonald's sack containing trucking logs dated Sept. 9 and Sept. 10, the affidavit shows. The logs were signed "Carl W. L.," court documents show.
According to an affidavit, police contacted the trucking company listed in the logs and learned Lawson, whose appearance and truck matched a description the witness gave, was the driver.
I don't pretend to know how serial rapists and serial murderers think, but I have to wonder how he thought he wouldn't be connected to the crime.
State and local officials said they could not yet confirm whether Lawson is connected to any other assaults or homicides, but they are interested in questioning him about a string of 11 prostitute slayings since 2002.
Most of the victims were last seen at truck stops and were left near major highways. Many had ties to Oklahoma City.
Wow.

I had read about the "Tasmanian Devil Killer" in a trucking publication a while back. He was called that because a witness reported his truck had a "Taz Devil" on the hood or something. I wonder if this is the same guy they were looking for? He was supposedly killing prostitutes.
